In this section, you will find the options for building your Combine Fields tool. Follow along in your PlusThis app, or by viewing the numbered step in the screenshots.

1

Text (optional)

The first text field is best used as a greeting (i. E.. Hello/Dear). Here is where you will type in your greeting or salutation (or any word you would like before the combined fields). If you don’t want a greeting like this, leave this first text field blank.
2

Always include this text (drop-down)

Then select the conditions when the previous text field will appear.
3

None - No field selected (drop-down)

Select or create the first field you would like to combine.
4

Text (optional)

Type any static text that you would like to appear if any. If you are combining two names, it would be ideal to put a space between the first and second combined field.
5

Always include this text (drop-down)

Select from the next dropdown if the appearance of the previous static text field will be conditional, and what the conditions are or if it will always be included
6

None - No field selected (drop-down)

Add or select from the drop down the second field you would like combined.
7

Text (optional)

If you would like any static text (even spaces) please enter the text into the text field
8

Always include this text (drop-down)

Select from the next dropdown if the appearance of the previous static text entered will be conditional, and what the conditions are or if it will always be included.
9

Preview

Take a look at the preview and make sure that you’re happy with the way it looks. You may need to add a space in a static text area, or you may need to remove something. Play around with the values in the static text areas to get the preview the way you want it.
10

Where would you like to put the combined text?

Select or Create from the dropdown the field you would like the above preview stored in.
11

Name Tool

Enter a name for your tool in this field. The name is solely for use inside of PlusThis, and will not be visible to customers.

FAQs / Tips

Implementation Types

HTTP Post

Run your tool virtually anywhere in your campaign using an HTTP post element.

1
This Tool should be triggered by an "HTTP Post" from Infusionsoft. This can be done using the Campaign Builder's "Send HTTP Post" option found on the left hand side of the sequence builder, under the "Process" section.
2
Decide where in your campaign you want to trigger this Tool. It can be part of virtually any Campaign Sequence.
3
In the Campaign Sequence, place a "Send HTTP Post" action where you want to run the Tool.
4
Use the Tool URL, provided above, in the "POST URL" field of the HTTP Post.
5
Leave the default "Name / Value Pairs" as is. There should be an entry that looks like this: contactId = ~Contact.Id~
6
Leave the Merge Fields as is. PlusThis gets all of the data necessary to run from the Contact Id Name / Value pair.
7
Mark the HTTP Post (and Sequence) as "Ready".
8
Publish your campaign changes and test! The "Send Test" button in Infusionsoft is not a good way to test PlusThis Tools. Instead, create a test contact record and push that record through the appropriate sequence.
