Getting Started with Page Triggers

IMPORTANT. We highly recommend watching this video if it's the first time you've set up this tool. The video will shorten your learning curve significantly by showing you a quick example of how to implement the tool with ActiveCampaign.

Page Triggers Configuration Options

In this section, you will find the options for building your Page Triggers tool. Follow along in your PlusThis app, or by viewing the numbered step in the screenshots.

Apply this tag

In the drop-down, select the tag that you would like to be applied to the contact.

After: (seconds)

Enter the number of seconds you would like PlusThis to wait before the previously specified tag gets applied.   If you don't want PlusThis to wait at all, check the box next to "Immediately" and the tag will get applied immediately when the contact hits the page.

+ Additional tag

If you would like to apply additional tags, click the button and repeat steps 1&2 for each additional tag that you add.

Disable contact id verification

If you plan on using this tool on a platform that doesn't expose contact id, check this box to disable the contact id verification.

Tool Name

Enter a name for your tool in this field. The name is solely for use inside of PlusThis, and will not be visible to customers. 

Implementation Types

My Website

Add a Page Trigger on your page that will tag your contact when they arrive on a page after X amount of seconds/minutes.

On the Usage and Instructions page, copy the code under the ‘My Website’ tab.

Embed the code in an HTML element on your page where you would like the Page Trigger to function.

Be sure to pass contact details to the page the Page Trigger is embedded on. You can do this using the link generator, or by passing details through an ActiveCampaign webform submission.

AccessAlly

Add a Page Trigger on your AccessAlly page that will tag your contact when they arrive on a page after X amount of seconds/minutes.

On the Usage and Instructions page, copy the code under the ‘AccessAlly’ tab.

Embed the code in an HTML element on your page where you would like the Page Trigger to function.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to embed this tool on Gated-Only pages that requires the contact to be logged in to view the page.
