Video Triggers Configuration Options

In this section, you will find the options for building your Video Triggers tool. Follow along in your PlusThis app, or by viewing the numbered step in the screenshots.

Simply paste your Wistia, YouTube, Vidalytics or Vimeo embed code here.

In the spot provided, paste in the embed code from your Wistia, YouTube, Vidalytics or Vimeo video and then hit "Next Step"

As this video is watched, how should we apply tags?

You can select, in the drop-down, to apply tags based on cue points or based on accumulated time watched.

At (minute:second)

In these spots, enter how many minutes and/or seconds into the video you would like to apply the tag.

Apply this Tag

At the time you specified in step 3, pick which tag you would like applied.  

If you do not have a tag created already, you can create a tag by typing the name of the desired tag in the tag selector and the hitting "Add... ".

Set Another Tag

If you would like to apply another tag at another point in the video, click the "Set Another Tag" button and repeat steps 2-4 for each additional tag you would like applied.

Disable contact id verification

If you plan on using this tool on a platform that doesn't expose contact id, check this box to disable the contact id verification.

Tool Name

Enter a name for your tool in this field. The name is solely for use inside of PlusThis, and will not be visible to customers.

"Need to Know" Items for Video Triggers

It's important to note that if you choose to use "Based on accumulated time spent watching" the tag will only be applied if the browser tab with the video in it remains the active tab the entire time. We can not track accumulated time watched if the tab isn't active while the contact is watching the video.

Embed your Video Trigger on a page on your website.

On the Usage and Instructions page, copy the code under the ‘My Website’ tab.

Embed the code in an HTML element on your page where you would like the Video Trigger to display.

Be sure to pass subscriber details to the page the Video Trigger is embedded on. You can do this using the link generator, or by passing details through a Drip webform submission.

IMPORTANT: If using cue points, the window must be active during the cue point for the tag to be applied.

AccessAlly

Embed your Video Trigger on a page on your AcessAlly website.

On the Usage and Instructions page, copy the code under the ‘AccessAlly’ tab.

Embed the code in an HTML element on your page where you would like the Video Trigger to display.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to embed this tool on Gated-Only pages that require the subscriber to be logged in to view the page.
