Google Drive Uploader

OVERVIEW

Google Drive Uploader allows for your people to upload files to your Google Drive Account. Folders are named appropriately with person details so you can easily keep track of the files.

Google Drive Uploader Configuration Options

Choose File Upload Type

In this section, you will find the options for building your Google Drive Uploader tool. Follow along in your PlusThis app, or by viewing the numbered step in the screenshots.

Create an Upload Wizard

By default, this toggle is set to "On".
- If you keep the toggle to "On" you can create an Upload Wizard. Follow the steps here to set up an Upload Wizard.
- If you switch the toggle to "Off" you can create a bulk upload option for multiple files at once. Follow the steps here to set up bulk upload.

What instruction do you want to include?

Enter the text you would like to include as instruction text (ie. "Step 1: Please upload your resume."

Allow all file types

By default, this toggle is set to "On". If you would like to limit the file types that are allowed, switch the toggle to "Off"

If you toggle the switch to "Off" you will be prompted to select which file extensions you would like your people to be able to upload. Check the appropriate file extensions.

Rename the file after upload

By default, this toggle is set to "Off". If you would like to rename the file name upon upload, switch this toggle to "On".

If you switch the toggle to "On", you can rename the file upon upload. Enter the name you would like the uploaded file to be renamed to in the field provided.

Which tag should be applied when this file is uploaded?

In the drop-down, select what tag you would like to be applied to the person when the file has been uploaded.  

If you do not have a tag created already, you can create a tag by typing the name of the desired tag in the tag selector and the hitting "Add... ".

Add File Upload Step

For each file you would like uploaded, you will need a new step. To add another step, click the "Add File Upload Step" button. Repeat steps 2-5 for each step you add/create.

Display this message when all files have been uploaded:

Enter any text you would like to appear after the files have been uploaded.

Store a link to the contact's Drive folder:

Select a field to store the specific person's folder on the Google Drive.  

If you do not have a field created already, you can create a field by typing the name of the desired field in the field selector and hitting "Add... ".

Disable contact id verification

If you are planning on using this on a page that doesn't expose person information, switch this toggle to "On".

Redirect to webpage after upload

By default, this toggle is set to "No". If you would like to redirect to a webpage after the upload has been completed, switch this toggle to "Yes".

How many files should the user be able to upload?

In the drop-down, select how many files you would like uploaded at one time. You can select a number between 1 and 10.

Tool Name

Enter a name for your tool in this field. The name is solely for use inside of PlusThis, and will not be visible to customers.

"Need to Know" Items for Google Drive Uploader

The maximum file size for uploading a file is 50mb per file.

Implementation Types

My Website

Have contacts upload files on your page that will be stored in your Google Drive. The file can also be stored on that contact's record as a Google Drive Link in a custom field.

On the Usage and Instructions page, copy the code under the ‘My Website’ tab.

Embed the code in an HTML element on your page where you would like the Uploader to display.

Be sure to pass contact details to the page the Google Drive Uploader is embedded on. You can do this using the link generator, or by passing details through a Drip webform submission.
